Décembre is a space for theatre and poetry, for the strength of a voice and for what lingers between the lines. A small press rooted in Montréal, welcoming manuscripts in French and English.
Connected to December Records, we explore another way of giving voices a place to be heard: through books.

Submit a poetry collection
Writing poems and looking for a poetry publisher? Bring your collection together in one PDF. A title page and a readable layout help introduce your work. In the comments, you can share the project title, its language and what connects the poems.
Submit a play manuscript
Looking for a publisher for your play? Present your dramatic work in a readable PDF. You can include a brief synopsis in the comments and introduce the characters or setting. Our submission form welcomes theatre manuscripts in French and English.
Prepare your submission
Enter your name, email and postal address, then attach your manuscript as one PDF of up to 10 MB. The optional Author Biography field lets you introduce your writing background; use Comments to describe your work. Check your contact details before sending so we can reach you about your submission.

Can I submit a manuscript in French?
Yes. Les éditions Décembre / December Edition welcomes poetry and theatre submissions in French and English. Use the same form for either language.
Does submitting my work mean it will be published?
Submitting introduces your work to the publishing house for review. It does not constitute acceptance or a promise of publication.
